New world heritages sites have recently been added into the selection of new sites situated in various countries around the world. The World Heritage List has been announced by the The United Nations agency and recognized by the World Heritage Committee of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) with a view to preserving humanity\'s cultural heritage. The new heritage sites include the Central Highlands in Sri Lanka, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania, Historic Villages of Korea: Hahoe and Yangdong, the Papahânaumokuâkea islands, the Bikini Atoll in Marshall Islands, and the Australian Convict Sites.
