Peratallada whose name is defined as “carved stone” is known as a beautiful and gorgeous town situated in the municipality of Forallac, Baix Empordà, Catalonia, Spain and is 22 km east of Girona. As a historic-artistic monument, most buildings of this small medieval town are constructed from carved stones coming from the fosse or moat. More impressively, this town remains rutted stone streets where there are lots of well-preserved buildings originating from the pre-Roman times, a variety of ancient stone roadways, diversifying restaurants, along with many hidden gems carved around the side streets.
