Qinghai, a province of the People's Republic of China, is situated on the northeastern part of the Tibetan Plateau. The average elevation of Qinghai is over 3000 meters above sea level. There are two mountain ranges namely Kunlun Mountains and Tanggula Mountains. The temperature ranges from -18 to -7°C in January, 5 to 21°C in July. Qinghai is the largest province in China excluding the autonomous regions of Tibet, Xinjiang, and Inner Mongolia.
Although a series of strong earthquakes have hit the county of Yushu, in the western Qinghai Province, it is still one of the most beautiful and remote regions around the globe. The following are several wonderful images from this wonderland.
