Popeye & Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges
This is a water rafting ride suitable for all ages. You'll find this ride in the Toon Lagoon area of Island of Adventure. This is a great ride for families with kids because everyone can get on board and enjoy the ride together. Each round raft holds approximately 10 people. The raft is launched down the river rapids and it twists and spins around carried by the force and current of the water. You'll go under tunnels and around gushing waterfalls. Of course it goes without saying that you'll be totally soaked by the time you finish!
But that's most of the fun. At the end of a hot day, it will feel great to get a good soaking! (Save this one for last if you can).
Watch out for people shooting water cannons at you as you go around, these will soak you if nothing else does!
Seuss Landing Island
Watch the Dr Seuss storybooks come to life in this Universal's very own Dr Seuss land called - 'Seuss Landing'.
Even adults will enjoy walking around all the brightly coloured buildings in Dr Seuss Land.
You'll see so many quirky things like bendy palm trees (they are real too!), characters from the story books and those famous rhymes from the Dr Seuss books.Rides you'll find in Seuss Landing:-
Carol-Seuss-El- the only carousel ride where the characters that the kids ride on move independently of the ride itself. Choose to ride one of 50 different characters from the storybooks.
Red-Fish-Blue Fish- kids choose either a red fish or blue fish and must squirt water out of the jets as the ride whirls around.
Other riders and shoot kids with water too!High in the Sky Trolley- A quick ride giving views over the zany Seuss Landing from trolleys on overhead tracks. This great for adults and kids alike. It's a great way to get a bird's eye view over Seuss Landing.
Cat in the Hat - an indoor ride where you'll site on a couch (3 persons across) and be whirled through a series of rooms and meet characters from Seuss land. Some special effects and neat nursery rhyme telling make this a real hit with kids!
Flying Unicorn- is a great little roller coaster for under 10s. It's a simple tract roller coaster that weaves its way through the medieval woodlands in the Lost Continent area. In fact it is soon to be given a makeover as part of the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Pterandon Flyers- lies within Camp Jurassic in the Jurassic Park themed section of the park. The individual Pterandons take 2 passengers around a high 'hang-gliding' type ride above the tree tops. Wait times are long at peak times, but if you have time make sure to check this one out.
